Fabufill is a leading polyester insulation product manufactured in South Africa by Platinum Fibre. It’s backed with the SABS stamp of approval. Used in residential, commercial and industrial buildings.

Fabufill insulation is manufactured using 80% recycled PET including 20% virgin LMF.  Usually, the plastic would be sent to landfill sites as post-consumer waste. This makes the product one of the greenest types of insulation in South Africa.

FABUFILL – PREMIUM

 

This is the SABS approved and recommended premium Fabufill insulation for residential and commercial buildings.

 

FABUFILL LITE – LOW COST HOUSING

 

Used in LOW-COST HOUSING projects. NOT RECOMMENDED for residential and commercial buildings. Very low R-values and densities. Some of the fly by night installers use the Fabufill lite product and charge you for the Premium Fabufill product.

Some also recommend installing 3 x 50mm layers of Fabufill Lite to get 150mm but the density is EXTREMELY low at 6kgs which does not compete with a single layer of the 145mm Premium product. Hence the lower price.

3 x layers of 50mm is still only 6kgs. It does not stack.
