Product Overview
102mm Isover Cavitylite is lightweight glasswool insulation for drywall systems, timber frame buildings and steel frame structures. The rolls are glass tissue faced on one side for easier handling and improved rigidity.
Each pack contains a 1200mm-wide roll slit into two 600mm-wide sections, each 5400mm long. This provides 6.48m² of nominal pack coverage. The 102mm thickness has a material R-value of 2.68 m²·K/W. Allow for cutting waste when calculating your order.

Frequently Asked Questions
102mm Cavitylite has a material R-value of 2.68 m²·K/W. This describes the insulation itself; the overall wall performance depends on the complete construction.
One pack contains a 1200mm-wide roll slit into two 5400 × 600mm sections. Each section covers 3.24m², giving 6.48m² of nominal coverage per pack before cutting waste.
Cavitylite is designed for suitable drywall systems, timber frame buildings and steel frame structures. Check that the 102mm thickness matches the specified wall system.
The manufacturer lists Cavitylite as non-combustible, tested to SANS 10177 Part 5, with a SANS 428 classification of A/A1/1. This does not establish a fire resistance duration for the complete wall.
Select the thickness specified for the wall and avoid unnecessary compression. Allow the roll sections to recover after opening the pack, then cut them to suit the cavity and services.
The 51mm product has an R-value of R1.34 and covers 7.2m² per pack. The 63mm product has an R-value of R1.66 and covers 6.48m². The 102mm product has an R-value of R2.68 and also covers 6.48m². Choose the thickness required by the wall design.
