100mm Isotherm Insulation
The 100mm Isotherm is a lightweight polyester ceiling insulation made from recycled PET plastic bottles. It’s designed for use in South African climate zones 3 and 5, offering a safe-to-handle, eco-conscious alternative to traditional glasswool.
With a product R-value of 1.57 m²·K/W and an installed R-value of 1.97 m²·K/W, it provides moderate thermal control for milder climates, reducing heat gain in summer and slowing heat loss in winter. Its soft texture and fibre-free composition make it comfortable to work with, even in tight roof spaces.
Certification Update
Isotherm insulation is no longer certified by the South African Bureau of Standards (SABS). The product did not pass updated compliance requirements, so it is not suitable for projects where SABS approval is mandatory.
If your project requires fully certified materials—such as government buildings, public institutions, or regulated commercial projects—consider alternatives like Knauf or Aerolite, which still carry SABS approval.
