50mm Isotherm Insulation
The 50mm Isotherm is a thin-profile polyester ceiling insulation manufactured from recycled PET plastic bottles. Its non-itch, fiber-free construction makes it comfortable to work with and safe to install without gloves or masks. This thickness is most often chosen for topping up older insulation or providing a light thermal layer in spaces where maximum R-value is not required.
Offering a product R-value of 0.79 m²·K/W and an installed R-value of 1.19 m²·K/W, it delivers a modest level of thermal resistance — suitable for warm climates or for supplementing existing ceiling insulation.
SABS Certification Status
Isotherm products no longer carry SABS approval, as they did not pass the most recent testing requirements set by the South African Bureau of Standards.
Where certification is mandatory — such as public tenders, schools, and healthcare facilities — it’s recommended to use alternatives like Aerolite or Knauf, which still hold full SABS compliance.

- For insulation products, we deliver stock orders within 3 to 5 days from the time of payment. This ensures quick and efficient delivery to meet your project timelines.
- There is a minimum order of 5 rolls required for product delivery. Please ensure your order meets this minimum quantity to arrange delivery.
- Delivery is charged separately and based on your distance (km) from us.
2. Delivery Process for XPS Boards
- XPS ceiling boards are delivered via large truck to ensure safe and secure transport. Our team is equipped to handle deliveries to locations in Johannesburg, Pretoria, Centurion, Durban, and Cape Town.
- Please note, XPS boards are cut to order, meaning we do not keep stock of pre-cut boards. Each order is processed and custom-cut based on your specific requirements, ensuring you receive the right size and thickness for your project.
- To guarantee delivery for the following week, all payments must be received by Thursday of the current week. This allows us enough time to prepare your order and schedule the delivery.
- Delivery is charged separately and based on your distance (km) from us.
Please note: that all ceiling boards are cut to order based on your specific requirements. As a result, we are unable to accept returns or offer refunds for products once they have been cut. We highly encourage you to double-check your measurements and specifications before placing your order to ensure the items are exactly what you need.
